New Year's Day Levee
The New Year's Day Levee is an annual event in Brockville. The mayor and city councillors welcome everyone to this event to wish them a happy new year. This year the Levee was held in our newly renovated Brockville Arts Centre.
Moira Taylor and her staff provided the delectable food.

The City of Brockville Pipe Band piped in the dignitaries.
The Pipe Band also played outside to welcome the guests.

Canada Day in Brockville
Brockville is a small city (population 20,000) but there is always a wonderful Canada Day celebration on Courthouse Green.
The Brockville Rifles is Canada's fifteenth most senior Reserve Infantry regiment. This year, for the first time since World War 2, the Rifles sent men to war. The officers shown below have recently returned from Kandahar and are returning the City of Brockville flag to the mayor. The flag was taken with them to Afghanistan.

Our wonderful City of Brockville Pipe Band entertained on Courthouse Green.
The kids had their pictures taken with the RCMP officers who were on duty.
The Canada Day cake was supplied by our local Tait's Bakery.
And a good time was had by all!
