People Watching at Quilt Market

It's always fun to meet up with fellow pattern designers and friends at Quilt Market.

Here is Cheryl Wall from Abbottsford BC with her country style designs. Check out her website here.

Ursula Riegel is from Vancouver Island. Her company is Designs to Share With You. Ursula has a great method of using curved shapes in her designs.

DJ Richards Design company is from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. They have a unique way of using folded triangles in their designs.

Here is Lisa from Woolylady designs. Lisa and her partner Gail, dye all their own wools and create beautiful applique designs.

And here is Eleanor Burns. This year she was dressed as an astronaut to promote her new book about Stars.

Famous People Sightings at Houston Quilt Market

Here are a few of the pictures I took at Quilt Market in Houston last week. It's always exciting to meet the people you often only see in the magazines!

Marie Osmond was showing her new fabric designs.

Eleanor Burns was dressed as "Rosie the Riveter" to promote her "Victory Quilts" book.

Eleanor's son Orion forgot to bring the projector for the presentation, so here he is, holding up the laptop so everyone could see the screen. Sorry, Orion, it didn't quite work - there were 150 people in the room - but everyone enjoyed the show anyway!
