International Quilt Market in Minneapolis

The Ottawa quilt show is over - and a great show it was! The weather was cold and wet and we had crowds of people at the show on all 3 days.

I leave for Minneapolis and the International Quilt Market next week. I still have one pattern to write. Hopefully it will be finished in time. The pattern is called "How Sweet It Is!". Here is a sneak preview of the 3 little quilts in the pattern. The "sweet" hanger is from Ackfeld. The photos in these quilts are removable so you can change them whenever you like. This pattern is the latest addition to my Pop-Out Picture Quilt series.

Girlfriends: Another New Pattern

Here is another new pattern that I have just put on my website. "Girlfriends" is a fun project for girlfriends of any age. I used the "Girlfriends" panel by Judy Houghton for Northcott fabrics to create this design. It is quick and easy to make and you will be able to make several wall quilts from one panel. There are 2 different designs in my pattern. They are 14.5" x 23.5" and 14.5" and 21.5".

I used the BFF (Best Friends Forever) hanger from Ackfeld for this version.

I added some simple fusible applique to this wall quilt. Full size drawings for the applique are included in the pattern.

Both little quilts have been embellished with beads, buttons and crystals. Lots of fun!

Girlfriends Fabric by Northcott

Have you seen this new Northcott fabric yet? The panel can be used for many small projects and the co-ordinating fabrics are so fresh looking. They will remind us of summer for a long time to come!

Here is one of the wall hangings I have made. I used the BFF (Best Friends Forever) hanger from Ackfeld Manufacturing for displaying this fun piece.
The fabric is also perfect for adding embellishments. I have added beads, crystals and lots of other assorted goodies.

Wall hanging #2 is almost finished and the pattern will be available soon.

How Sweet It Is!

Here is a sneak preview of a new pattern I am working on. The little hanger is by Ackfeld Wire and is perfect for this small hanging. There will be more designs using die-cut applique shapes included in the pattern, so watch for it coming soon!

Another New Pattern!

I have just put the "official" photos of my newest pattern (Portraits in Lace) on my website. The pattern will be added to my shopping cart later this week. These little quilts can be hung on the wall in the "normal" way, with a hanging sleeve on the back, or they can be hung on the Ackfeld hangers that you see here. Ackfeld has a wide variety of these hangers that are perfect for small wall hangings.
